Tips and Tricks- Bad Cards in a Good Format

Hello everyone! This is more of a fun article that I decided to write because the two cards that I base the article off of is....

and combined with these are....

yea... not so good. But it could make for an awesome article! (or not)

The List(s)
3-Black Kyurem EX
4-Tynamo NVI
4-Eelektrik
2-Victini NVI
2-Mewtwo EX
1-Raikou EX

4-Professor Juniper
4-N
4-Skyla
1-Random Receiver
4-Pokemon Catcher
4-Ultra Ball
2-Level Ball
4-Switch
1-Crystal Wall
3-Skyarrow Bridge

8-Lightning
4-Water

So as you can see this list focuses on hitting that 150 easily and also focuses on paralyzing the opponent with Black Kyurem, Tynamo, and Raikou with help by Fliptini. I put Skyarrow bridge in for a couple reasons. One of which is to retreat Black Kyurem into another one repeatedly for 2 lightning and dynamotor them back on and keep using freeze shock turn after turn.

4-White Kyurem EX
1-Entei EX
2-Mewtwo EX
4-Tepig
2-Pignite
3-Emboar

4-Professor Juniper
3-N
4-Skyla
3-Pokemon Catcher
4-Ultra Ball
4-Switch
1-Crystal Edge
4-Energy Retrieval
3-Rare Candy
1-Cilan

9-Fire
4-Water

So this list is decently similar to the other one, but with added cards that help with energy acceleration from the hand like Cilan and Energy Retreival. The energy count was increased because of the greater importance in energy in this deck and it is pretty easy to play as long as you place your Crystal Edge on White Kyurem at the right time to get the right knockouts.
Next I will do a completely in-depth "report" of a game between these decks, with unlimited time. The Black Kyurem deck will be represented by BK and White will respectively be WK.
Game 1
BK opening hand:Raikou EX, Victini, skyla, skyla, random receiver, switch, water
WK opening hand: Mewtwo EX, White Kyurem EX, rare candy, professor juniper, fire, fire, fire
BK goes first with a Raikou active to WK's White Kyurem. BK draws Tynamo and benches it along with Victini. BK then uses random receiver, gets N, and plays it.
BK draw: BK, juniper, eelektrik, level ball, lightning, lightning
WK draw: juniper, switch, cilan, rare candy, energy retrieval, water
BK uses level ball to get a Tynamo and benches it along with BK, attaches lightning to BK and passes.
WK draws Juniper, attaches water to WK, and uses juniper, drawing: fire, catcher, Mewtwo EX, rare candy, ultra ball, switch, and WK. WK then discards a Mewtwo EX and a Switch to get a Tepig, benches it along with WK, and passes.
BK draws N, evolves tynamo, and uses juniper to get: Skyarrow Bridge, tynamo, lightning, victini, switch, catcher, and skyla. BK plays Skyarrow, benches tynamo, attaches and dynamotors to BK, retreats to BK, uses catcher on tepig and uses dragon fang for the KO.
WK draws emboar {:( }, attaches to the benched WK, catchers up an eel, and passes.
BK draws eelektrik, uses skyla to get crystal wall, attaches it to BK, uses switch, evolves tynamo and uses dragon fang while getting paralyses.
WK draws skyla and uses it to get a catcher, catchers up eel and passes.
BK draws a skyarrow bridge and passes.
WK draws a fire energy, attaches to the benched WK and passes.
BK draws a lightning, attaches to the active eel and passes.
WK draws a fire, attaches to the bench and passes.
BK draws eel, evolves tynamo and passes.
WK draws another WK and passes.
BK draws and plays a switch and uses dragon fang for the KO.
WK draws a water, attaches, benches WK, and uses Ice Burn for the KO.
BK sends up victini, draws eel, double dynamotors to Raikou EX, and uses thunder fang getting heads on the second flip.
WK draws an N and uses energy retrieval, attaches to the benched WK and uses N.
WK draw: pignite, emboar, fire, fire
BK draw: juniper, tynamo, lightning
WK passes
BK draws a victini and uses juniperto draw: lightning, juniper, lightning, skyla, water, mewtwo ex, and eelektrik. BK then uses thunder fang and gets a heads.
WK draws a skyla and gets a crystal edge, attaching it and a fire to the benched WK and passes.
BK draws an ultra ball, discarding a lightning energy and an eelektrik with it to get a BK. BK then attaches a water to BK, double dynamotors to it while using another one on the raikou, retreats, and uses dragon fang for the KO.
WK sends up WK and draws a switch, attaches fire and gets the ko while flipping tails on dragon steam. Extremely close match.
BK sends up victini, draws skyla, uses it to get an ultra ball and discards a mewtwo EX and random receiver to get another BK. BK then attaches manually to BK, double dynamotors to it and passes.
WK draws and ultra ball, attaches to the active and uses dragon steam for the KO, hoping that BK won't get a water energy to win.
BK draws and uses level ball failing it and uses juniper and actually misses the water energy! Knowing that they have game next turn, BK uses thunder fang and flips...tails, reflips.....HEADS!! There is nothing that WK can do and scoops. That's an amazing and long game by both decks and a great game to put in this article!

If any of you read the entire thing, then leave a comment on any question you have and you can also request what deck should be in my next "Tips and Tricks" article coming out soon!

  1. Very nice article! Have you thought of recording your matches? I think it would help readers keep track of your matches.

Or make your match record a bit more spaced. Maybe like...

    BK Starts with a tynamo!

WK Attaches a fire energy to WK.

BK Puts a BK on the bench.

and so on, having them all next to each other can get a bit disorienting at times.

Fantastic article! I look forward to the next one. :D
